• Saga Points and Tier Credits – Passengers who redeemed  Saga Points for flight booking are eligible for the Class Upgrades. 

• Other Upgrade Options – The Class Up service is exclusively available online and cannot be availed at the airport. 

• Submitting a Bid – Bids for Class Upgrades must be submitted online, and phone bidding is not available. 

• Passengers can pay with a credit card or Saga Points as the form of payment. 
• Credit card details are required for verification, but the bid amount is charged only if the upgrade is awarded. 
• For Saga Points, passengers need to log in with their email address or Saga Card number and Saga Club password to confirm the bid.

• Bid Deadline – Passengers can submit an upgrade bid until 26 hours before departure.

• Upgrade Costs – There is no charge for submitting a bid with Class Up. If the bid is successful, the bid amount will be debited from the passenger’s credit card or Saga Points balance.

• Traveling with Others – The bid amount is per passenger, per flight segment. If multiple passengers are booked under the same reservation, the invitation to upgrade includes all of them. 

• Seating Options – Passengers with confirmed upgrades can select seats in Saga Premium through the Manage Booking section on the Icelandair website or during online check-in. 

How do request Icelandair Bid for Upgrade?

Passengers eligible for Class Up will receive an email notification 10 days before their trip. The email will contain a link to the bidding platform, allowing them to bid for an upgrade from Economy to Saga Premium (Icelandair Upgrade to Business Class).
