Icelandair Change Fee Waiver

Icelandair offers a change fee waiver for passengers who meet certain conditions. This includes – 

• The waiver applies to all Icelandair tickets with a ticket number starting with 108.
• The ticket must be in a validity period. The duration is for 12 months from the date of purchase.
• This waiver is applicable to international flight tickets including Economy Standard, Economy Flex, Saga Premium, or Saga Premium Flex fares.
• Passengers whose flight is delayed or there is a schedule change for more than 5 hours.
• For domestic flight tickets, both Economy Light and Economy Standard ticket holders can make their first change without a change fee. 
• International flight tickets with an Economy Light fare issued prior to April 4, 2022, are also eligible for the change fee waiver. 
• If requested the Icelandair flight cancellations within 24 hours of purchase. 

Icelandair Schedule Change Policy

If there is a schedule change of at least +/- 2 hours from the original time, which is unacceptable to the passenger, they are entitled to a refund.

In cases where Icelandair cancels a flight, fails to operate a flight according to the schedule, or causes a passenger to miss a connecting flight on the same ticket, the refund amount applies to the unused portion of the ticket.

Icelandair’s COVID-19 Flight Change Policy

If you currently hold a booking for a flight, there is a possibility that you can change it without incurring any change fees. This applies to the following fare types:

• For international flights, if you have a ticket with Economy Standard, Economy Flex, Saga Premium, or Saga Premium Flex fare
• For international flights, if you have a ticket with Economy Light fare,
• For all flights within Iceland.

Icelandair 24-Hour Flight Change Policy

Icelandair offers a 24-hour flight change policy that allows passengers to change their booking within 24 hours of purchase without incurring any change fees. However, this policy only applies to Icelandair tickets

• Travel originates to and from the US
• Changes can be made online through the Icelandair website or by contacting their customer service.
• If the new flight has a higher fare, passengers will be responsible for paying the fare difference.
• Does not apply to Reward fare and Group fare.

• Explain to the Icelandair representative that you wish to change your flight reservation. 
• Provide the details of your current booking and specify the desired changes, such as new travel dates or destinations.
• The representative will guide you through the process and inform you of any applicable fees.
